TOWBAR AND TOWBAR WIRING WARRANTIES EXPLAINED

Manufacturers Warranty

Leicester Towbars supplies and fits a wide range of towbars and electrics from various leading manufacturers. Leicester Towbars will pass on to you any warranties given to us by third parties. We will (on request) supply you with details of the terms and conditions of such warranties and copies of any relevant product information sheets, technical data sheets or product leaflets issued to us by third parties.

Warranty Given by Leicester Towbars

Leicester Towbars offers a 12 month guarantee on the installation of your towbar, electrics and other parts that are not covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Any faults that appear during the 12-month period that have been reported to us will be fixed completely free of charge at the original fitment address. If the fault is caused by something else and not the towbar fitment, Leicester Towbars may charge you for the repair. Leicester Towbars will test your towbar and electrics after the installation is complete. In the unlikely event that a fault with your towbar or towbar wiring occurs. You must inform us as quickly as you can. We will arrange for this to be checked and repaired at the earliest available time.

Please note that if we discover that the fault is not related to our installation, Leicester Towbars reserves the right to charge you for the repair and call out.

You should allow at least five working days for us to arrange a call out. Whilst we will aim to get any faults rectified as quickly as possible, we can’t promise a same day service. For this reason, it is important that you thoroughly test your trailer or caravan with your towbar before planning a holiday or trip away.

If you choose to have work carried out by another company, Leicester Towbars will not pay any charges from any third-party persons or companies unless Leicester Towbars agree to them in advance. If we agree to pay any costs, we will only pay for like for like replacement of any parts.

Customers responsibility

It is the customers shall be solely responsible to maintain and service any parts supplied and fitted by Leicester Towbars in accordance with the manufacturers maintenance, care and technical instructions.

If for any reason a fault occurs the customer must not use any faulty items until they are repaired or replaced. Leicester Towbars will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by damaged or faulty parts that may effect the functionality of the towbar or parts fitted..

Statutory Rights

This guarantee does not confer any rights other than those expressly set out above and does not cover any claim for indirect or consequential loss or damage. Nothing in this guarantee is intended to limit or exclude the liability of Leicester Towbars for anything which it is not permitted to exclude or limit under English law. This guarantee is offered as an extra benefit and does not affect your statutory rights.

Warranty Exclusions

Any of our warranties do not cover faults or damage caused by the improper use or wear and tear from normal use. You should be careful that your towbar is not damaged from accidents and not overloaded, as this is the most common cause of damage.
